Hartley People Recruitment are working alongside a long-standing manufacturing client of ours in Waterford to fill the vacancy of a Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will be fully competent with Quality Management Systems and will have previous experience in a similar role.Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of quality plans, programs, and procedures to ensure product performance and quality meet company, customer, and regulatory standards.
Review, analyse, and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly and processes; investigate issues and recommend corrective actions for recurring or isolated problems.
Provide technical support during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure compliance with FDA, QSR, and MDD standards for healthcare and medical devices.
Apply quality engineering tools and techniques, with a focus on validation protocols (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ), cGMP, and PFMEA; support the generation of DMFs where appropriate.
Utilise scrap reduction methodologies and process capability analysis to establish robust, defect-free processes.
Leverage experience in sterilisation, automation, and equipment/software validation, as well as manufacturing within controlled environments.
Support both internal and external Quality Management System audits (auditor trained).
Contribute to the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system.
Liaise with other departments to provide and drive quality inputs and initiatives into operational activities· Ensure compliance with all GMP training learnings.
Apply root-cause problem-solving approaches in a team environment.
Align customer specifications with JABIL capabilities.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, based on company and department evolution.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, with a focus on Mechanical, Electronics, or Chemistry disciplines.
3 to 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering position.
Thorough knowledge and expertise in Quality Management Standards.
