Hartley People Recruitment are working alongside a long-standing manufacturing client of ours in Waterford to fill the vacancy of a Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will be fully competent with Quality Management Systems and will have previous experience in a similar role.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality plans, programs, and procedures to ensure product performance and quality meet company, customer, and regulatory standards.
  • Review, analyse, and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly and processes; investigate issues and recommend corrective actions for recurring or isolated problems.
  • Provide technical support during the New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure compliance with FDA, QSR, and MDD standards for healthcare and medical devices.
  • Apply quality engineering tools and techniques, with a focus on validation protocols (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ), cGMP, and PFMEA; support the generation of DMFs where appropriate.
  • Utilise scrap reduction methodologies and process capability analysis to establish robust, defect-free processes.
  • Leverage experience in sterilisation, automation, and equipment/software validation, as well as manufacturing within controlled environments.
  • Support both internal and external Quality Management System audits (auditor trained).
  • Contribute to the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) system.
  • Liaise with other departments to provide and drive quality inputs and initiatives into operational activities· Ensure compliance with all GMP training learnings.
  • Apply root-cause problem-solving approaches in a team environment.
  • Align customer specifications with JABIL capabilities.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, based on company and department evolution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, with a focus on Mechanical, Electronics, or Chemistry disciplines.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering position.
  • Thorough knowledge and expertise in Quality Management Standards.
