We’re continuing to grow our business and our Quality Engineering team is at the forefront of our growth plans.Follow us to learn more: | | |The Role:Reporting to the Lead Quality Engineer, we are looking to hire a smart, experienced and proactive Senior/ Mid-Level Quality Engineer to join our dedicated squad team. This role plays an important part of our quality engineering culture, focusing primarily on the design and execution of regression testing, assisting the client delivery and integration function, de-risking complex functionality, and contributing to the development of useful test automation. As a Quality Engineer in this team, you will have the opportunity to innovate, mentor, and optimise our testing processes to ensure seamless software delivery.This role isUK based, primarily remote working with occasional travel required to our London Office. Sponsorship is not available for this position.Our recruitment process will involve:

  • HR interview – 30 minutes.
  • Technical interview/ assessment – 1 hour 45 minutes.
  • Numerical and Verbal Reasoning online assessment – 30 minutes.
  • Final Competency based interview – 1 hour.

  • Perform targeted regression testing to validate the existing functioning and stability of the platform
  • Assist the Integration Team in testing complex workflows and 3rd party integrations
  • Perform functional, non-functional and exploratory testing
  • Execute SQL queries for data validation
  • Support scrum teams to deliver large projects
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Development teams to define Acceptance Criteria
  • Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Analyse, design, develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts according to the defined requirements
  • Analyse testing results and provide detailed reports on the testing activities undertaken
  • Mentoring other team members
  • Contribute to automation test scripts and frameworks
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Actively participate in sharing knowledge and building the Instanda community
  • Continuously improve testing processes and identify areas for enhancement

RequirementsSenior level:

  • Lead and oversee testing efforts across multiple projects or teams
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies aligned with project goals
  • Perform complex testing, including performance, security, and API testing
  • Bring previous hands-on experience in non-functional testing, primarily in performance testing and security testing (familiarity with OWASP would be an advantage)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality metrics and success criteria
  • Provide guidance and share the knowledge with the wider QA function
  • Design and implement automation artefacts in collaboration with automated test function
  • Support and collaborate with our technical team to coach and guide team members in adopting automation practices

Essential:

  • At least 3+ years’ experience with manual or automated software testing
  • Professional experience with deployment and testing tools such as Octopus, Test Rail, Jira, etc.
  • Experience with user-configurable software, which works according to business rules configured by non-technical users
  • Proficiency in manual testing and exposure to automation
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger
  • A strong understanding of HTML and CSS
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and testing lifecycle (SDLC/STLC)
  • Exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills – we are a fast paced, agile environment
  • Flexible, resilient, and commercial attitude coupled with a high degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders (other teams, vendors, suppliers, etc.)
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability

Desirable:Experience writing scripts using C# is an assetPrevious exposure working with a SaaS product, a high growth company or in the insurance industry is an assetBenefits
