What’s the role

The Mechanical Technician role assists the maintenance team to deliver safe, quality and efficient mechanical maintenance across the QGC Midstream LNG facility.

What you’ll be doing

Your accountabilities include the following:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on plant and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency and quality. Intervene on unsafe acts / safety concerns.

• Perform the Permit Holder role within the Permit to Work system, including isolation reviews and risk assessment development, review and toolbox talks.

• Maintain maintenance records through effective documentation using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (Maximo).

• Provide inputs into improvements including safety, quality or process improvements, including handover of equipment for maintenance from and to operations.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness.

• Provide assistance in major maintenance works such as turnarounds and equipment overhauls.

• Coordinate and supervise turnaround activities as required. Participate in turnaround Toolbox meetings.

• Act as a relief to the Midstream Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator or Supervisor in their absence

What you bring

We are looking for professionals with Mechanical Trade Certificate (Cert III Mechanical Engineering), and relevant years of experience in maintaining / working on an LNG plant.
