Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced Project Manager to act both as the lead in project execution and as a client advocate who works with internal departments to ensure that client needs are understood and satisfied. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in Project Management and excellent communication skills, as well as experience working within an agency environment. Projects will include a broad range of digital marketing projects, public relations and virtual/hybrid events. In this role, you will:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management, including experience in event conceptualization, planning, and execution (virtual, hybrid, and/or in-person)
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.
• Build relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
• Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate client needs fulfilment.
• Resolve complaints and prevent additional issues by improving processes.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends.
• Act as a client advocate with a focus on improving the buyer experience
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients and communicate with them about the project’s progress.
• Expected to analyze digital data, plan and direct marketing campaigns, optimize content, and coordinate with the Business Development team and other departments.

Essential requirements

• English fluency with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management
• Experience managing clients in a B2B environment
• Knowledge of email marketing campaigns
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with business, communications and other teams.
• Experience in content creation, proofreading, and copy editing for social media channels and websites

Desirable Attributes

• Fluency in other languages (especially Spanish, Portuguese or French)
• Interest and knowledge in sustainable development and island communities
• Understanding and experience working with different organization profiles such as NGOs, governments, and private companies
• Experience working in a remote team environment
• A fair understanding of issues and opportunities in the realm of climate change, renewable energy, biodiversity, and blue and green economies particularly their impact on global islands.
