Key Responsibilities include:

• Coordinate the installation of lab and technical scale spray drying equipment at Aenova’s Killorglin site. Development and implementation of a spray-dried amorphous solid dispersion (SDASD) as a platform for innovative drug delivery systems. This includes the cross-functional coordination of all implementation activities. Lead the design, development, and optimization of SDASD formulations for a range of poorly soluble compounds, utilizing expertise in spray drying techniques and solid dispersion formulations. Lead and coordinate the implementation of development standards for SDASD. Manage drug development projects, including timelines, milestones, and budgets. Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, analytical development, manufacturing to integrate SDASD technology within the group portfolio. Provide technical guidance and support to the formulation team, including troubleshooting and implementing innovative solutions. Follow and evaluate emerging development trends and advancements in SDASD technology and drug delivery, driving continuous improvement initiatives within the formulation development process.

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

• PhD or MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. A number of years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, with a focus on spray dried amorphous solid dispersion. Proven track record of successfully leading and managing drug development projects. Strong understanding of spray drying principles, solid-state characterization techniques, and formulation optimization strategies. Excellent project management skills. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams.
