Package: New Vehicle (after probation), Fuel/Mileage Allowance, Pension, Healthcare, Performance Bonus, Professional DevelopmentCompany OverviewOptimize Recruitment is seeking a Project Manager to join a well-established Carlow-based main contractor specialising in pharmaceutical, food production, and industrial projects across the Southeast. The company has long-term contracts with global industry leaders, focusing on internal fit-outs, extensions, heavy civils, and power infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a focus on quality delivery, they offer an excellent work environment and long-term career progression.Projects are primarily based in:
- Waterford City
- Wexford Town
- Carlow Town
The location of the role is flexible, depending on preference. The successful candidate will typically manage either:
- Two smaller projects (€1M–€3M), or
- One larger site
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of pharmaceutical and industrial projects from start to completion
- Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and site staff to ensure quality and efficiency
- Manage budgets, schedules, and risk assessments to keep projects on track
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality control, and building regulations
- Act as the key liaison with clients, stakeholders, and senior management
- Provide leadership in problem-solving, design coordination, and site execution
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management, PM, Engineering, Trade or related discipline
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in pharma, industrial, or food production projects
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple sites or large-scale projects (€1M–€15M)
- Knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and contract management
- Ability to work across multiple locations in the Southeast
