The position requires a blend of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong stakeholder management skills.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage, and deliver substation projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to achieve project objectives.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and commercial activities in collaboration with the commercial team.
• Act as the primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
• Lead and motivate project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect project delivery.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure all works meet technical specifications.

Requirements:

• Degree in construction management, engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
• Proven track record in managing HV distribution network projects, ideally within substations.
• Experience overseeing both civil and electrical works.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficient in planning, scheduling, and resource management.
• Commercially astute with experience in budget and contract management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

Benefits:

• £60,000-£70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
