Baker Hicks provides a managed service for a major Defence Contractors Configuration Management function. Based on the client’s sites, we provide support to CAD / BIM / Surveying / Tooling / Handover & Data Analytics with a team of approximately 60 people. As part of the growth of the service, we have identified the need for a Handover Coordinator.

The role will provide general project administration and document control support to all disciplines and department managers and to assist in the smooth and effective running of the Managed Service.

The key purpose of this role is to manage, organize and control Handover activities on a portfolio of projects or single Capital Project on behalf of the client organisation, recommending improvements in accordance with the Client’s Security, Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health management arrangements and all applicable legislation as well as visiting suppliers to ensure handover requirements are achieved within agreed timescales.

Key Objectives

  • To provide clear guidance, governance and expertise on Project Handover requirements, throughout the Project lifecycle.
  • Ensure Handover deliverables are to the correct perceived quality and achieve all deadlines/ milestones.

About You

  • You will come from an engineering or construction background
  • Must be able to provide leadership and development of the team around them
  • You will have an understanding of the end-to-end PM lifecycle
  • Able to multitask
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to work with cross functional teams
  • Must be willing and able to obtain SC clearance
