Apply today and propel your career to new heights as the leader of our EMEA project engineering teamDuties & ResponsibilitiesPurposeThe Project Engineering Manager will be heading up a team for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) based project engineering activities in support of oil&gas and renewables projects performed with Oceaneering’s Offshore Projects Group (OPG). The Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for engineering support to operations and associated projects.Typical work scopes will include installations, light construction, decommissioning, diving, well or flowline remediation/intervention and inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) work scopes. The work will be conducted from the local office with offshore support of the project onboard installation vessels in the EMEA region as required. The Project Engineering Manager will report functionally to Director, & OPG Engineering EMEA and to the local OPG business leader.FunctionsESSENTIALThe Project Engineering Manager will be responsible for all Project Engineering in the region including, but not limited to:§ Ensure that all project engineering is completed in accordance with project requirements and Oceaneering policy and process, with a focus on personnel safety and safety for the environment.§ Manage project engineering resources within the region, utilizing capacity planning and resource management tools. Work will include:o Performance management of suppliers and/or sub-contractorso Preparation of procedures, task plans, Lift Plans, and review of drawings and engineering deliverables.o Preparation of project or technical reports as required by management, clients or other stakeholders.o Provision of input to cost estimates, schedule development, manpower requirements and the like.o Support pre and post testing of equipment, as well as repair and maintenance with the help of other support functions.o Plan and manage mob/demob of equipment, Rigging, and Installation Aids according to project requirements.o Participation in project Design Reviews, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, Readiness Reviews and other risk and operational analysis exercises.§ Be responsible for on time delivery and quality of Engineering output.§ Identify resource needs and work with local management and HR to ensure recruitment targets for the project engineering group are met.§ Act as a mentor to the team in terms of training and development.§ Manage the project engineering procedures, methods, design reviews, reporting, documentation and archiving of data required to support the daily work and project requirements.§ Provide engineering support to other departments and to colleagues in terms of training and mentoring.§ Participate and/ or support tenders as required and/or provide inputs to tender method statements.§ Participate in mobilizations and occasional periods of offshore work, if required.§ Quality assurance and/or preparation of study reports and tender method statements§ Perform project engineering tasks and act as team leader as needed.QualificationsQualificationsQualificationsREQUIRED§ Bachelor degree in engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Civil or Ocean Engineering)§ Minimum 10 years relevant experience from the subsea industry§ Documented extensive leadership experience§ Solid knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards§ Strong QHSE mindset with experience from participation in project HAZIDs, HAZOPs and other risk analysis exercises.§ Excellent people management- and communication skills§ Ability to travel internationally for work scopes§ Valid driver’s license§ Valid passport§ Must be able to obtain:o Seamen’s booko Petroleum Education Council (PEC) Basic Training§ Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)DESIRED§ Offshore experience in Installation, light construction or IRM work, from both ROV and diving.§ Experience with conflict resolution and change management§ Chartered Engineer or Project Management QualificationClosing StatementWe offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to advance in an international company.
