And you’ll do it as part of a people-first culture that’s supportive, collaborative and, above all, welcoming..The Major Programmes Consultant/Senior Consultant will assist with the design and development of complex engagements, including programme strategy and set-up, and programme / portfolio delivery. This role requires a sound understanding and experience of programme management, client relationship building, and business strategy. The Consultant/Senior Consultant will collaborate closely with senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes on high-value solutions for clients.About the RoleProgramme Leadership: Assist with end-to-end design and development of programmes, ensuring alignment with client goals and objectives. Oversee programme scope, timelines, budget, and quality.Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact. Understand client needs and provide strategic insights and recommendations.Project Delivery: Ensure that project teams are aligned on objectives and deliverables. Support in the development of plans, managing critical paths and interdependencies. Lead project kick-off meetings, set expectations, and guide teams throughout the project lifecycle.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies. Ensure that risks are communicated to stakeholders in a timely manner.Resource Management: Oversee and allocate resources effectively across programmes, ensuring optimal utilisation. Provide mentorship and guidance to project managers and team members.Financial Oversight: Manage programme budgets, track financial performance, and ensure controls are in place for profitability and successful delivery. Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to senior management.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within programmes and consulting practices. Lead initiatives to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.Reporting & Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive programme documentation, progress / status reports, and executive dashboards. Present findings and updates to both internal and external stakeholders.Business Development: Support with the growth of client relationships, identifying new opportunities within both existing and new clients, and supporting proposals to win work.Practice Development: Support the development of our propositions, solutions and methods, and industry points of view.About YouBachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).Experience in Project Management Office (PMO), including understanding the development of plans, governance, reporting, RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) management, and project tools.Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating in fast-paced environmentsExperience of managing large, complex programmes across multiple industries.Experience in financial services, banking, or a similar sector is highly desirable.Experience of working within a Consulting or Professional Services environment, or as a customer of a professional services partner, or as a customer of a professional services partner is desirable but not essential.Strong understanding of programme management methodologies and frameworks (PMP, Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.).Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and profitability.High level of adaptability and resilience in the face of change.Demonstrate excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills across all levels of client and Deloitte stakeholders.Ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships across various levels of an organisation, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to influence and engage with senior executives.The ability to self-motivate and to own problems, with a strong attention to detail.Prince 2 / PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification preferred.Agile or Scrum certifications are a plus.If you believe that you meet most of the criteria above, we encourage you to apply.
