About The Role

Morgan Stanley Institutional Equity Division (IED) is the global leader in the trading of equity, equity-linked and equity-derivative securities. The role is to manage Portfolio Trading client transactions and relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Accepting, loading and confirming client orders in proprietary order management systems.
• Trading Australian equity programs.
• Acknowledging Domestic & International Programs.
• Execution performance consultancy; running pre-trade and post trade analysis for clients.
• Client acquisition, relationship building and marketing.
• Working with local and offshore trade support groups to ensure operational aspects of client transactions are correctly set up, booked out and settled.
• Index rebalancing specialist.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication skills to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders / clients.
• Ability to work independently, but with a strong team focus.
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure critical workflow.
• Passion for equity markets.
• Knowledge of both trading and settlement processes of domestic and international equity markets.
• Understanding of trading algorithms and ability to use them to effectively trade.
