The Opportunity
As a program manager you are an integral member of the Program Delivery & Growth Team. You will provide administrative support to Abt’s international programs across the functions of human resources, logistics, travel, finance, quality assurance, and business growth.
Core Responsibilities

Support the mobilisation or demobilisation of programs by coordinating resources and maintaining contractual oversight, with assistance from the program administrator (as required);
-
Provide oversight of head contract requirements and milestone tracking;

Support adviser mobilisation and demobilisation with respect to household uplift, contracting and visa applications;
-
Make travel and accommodation arrangements for home office and program personnel (as required);
-
Receive and review adviser timesheets, invoices and reimbursement requests; and liaise with the relevant department areas/apply relevant systems (eg: Netsuite) to support their timely and accurate processing and payment;

Maintain various HR, finance, program, client and insurance systems and registers; and prepare and distribute related reports (as required);

Support program HR and finance learning and development needs across relevant systems and procedures, including the development of training resources and tools;

Support the continued devolution of administrative activities to in-country program operations and provide capacity building support across systems and procedures;

Ensure compliance with Abt Global and program policies and procedures, and support the continuous improvement of these;

Provide administrative support to programs and advisers, including personnel and programs records management and quality assurance checking;

Support internal and external audit activities, and assist with the timely implementation of audit recommendations;

Support business growth initiatives (as required);

Travel frequently for short periods of time as required for mobilisation of programs or to provide surge support to the programs, and

Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed.
What We Value

Tertiary qualifications in international development or related field preferable

Demonstrable experience working in a similar role across different regions with knowledge of service delivery priorities and challenges

Proven ability to prioritise and respond to a high workload in a fast-paced environment
-
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with ability to manage representation at a senior level with a diverse range of stakeholders

Ability to work in a team environment and cross-culturally
-
Ability and willingness to travel internationally to support program mobilisations on the ground.

Proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Word and Excel
-
Bachelor’s Degree + Five years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Three years of relevant experience, or PhD
