Here At Osborne, we are hiring a Procurement Engineer for one of the world’s leading medical devices companies located in North Dublin. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience.Package:

• Salary – €40,000+ DOE

Responsibilities:

• Work in a fast-paced engineering environment, supporting new product introductions and design changes to ensure we make the best decisions for part design, manufacturing, and supplier selection
• Bring supplier innovation into our designs by involving them early in the process
• Lead cost-saving projects and value engineering exercises with suppliers and engineers
• Identify the best suppliers and secure great deals through competitive sourcing
• Manage supplier changes to reduce risks and improve performance
• Work closely with procurement, R&D, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive improvements and optimise our supply chain

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related Science discipline (QQI level 8), or relevant experience in procurement or supply chain
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement or technical roles, ideally in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
• A keen interest in supplier technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of supplier processes like metal fabrication, plastic molding, and PCBA, along with early involvement practices like ESI and Design for Manufacturing (DfMA)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships both internally and with suppliers
