Job Description:OverviewApplications are invited for the position of Procurement Data Analyst within our Procurement function based in Eastgate, Little Island on a specific purpose contract basis.This is a real opportunity to harness big data from multiple sources to drive multi-million dollar business efficiencies while creating a framework to influence organisational approach to deliver consumer winning innovation.We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. With integrity and ethical sourcing at our heart, the procurement team work hard to nurture strong relationships with our suppliers that get the right goods and services at the right price while ensuring we can be better together.The procurement analyst will leverage data-driven insights to support the procurement team in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations and overall procurement process improvement. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who wish to utilize their analytical skills to optimise procurement activities and contribute to the success of the procurement team.
ResponsibilitiesThe key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the process of aligning pricing and descriptive data between suppliers and PGCS Procurement, working directly with key supplier contacts. Structuring and analysis of this data to support financial activities, change management, and communication to PGCS local procurement teams around the world.
  • Manage pricing queries working closely with all PGCS local procurement teams, including minimum order quantity exception process requests.
  • Maintain and develop data pipelines that bring together reports across multiple internal databases to drive souring efficiencies, influence the development of procurement strategies, and measurement & monitoring of performance against business-critical performance indicators.
  • Support new product innovation of third-party flavour & seasoning systems, including the management of internal innovation platforms, and assessment of cost in use (CIU) of new flavours.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of current data sources and data gathering techniques, with the aim to automate and industrialise repetitive data integration steps, thereby solving data-related problems within the team and implementing efficient data pipelines.
  • Drive Flavour & Seasoning Procurement team’s Digital Transformation agenda and alignment against Procurement and PGCS-wide initiatives of systems, content management, and data.
  • Oversee the development of proficiency in corporate systems & documentation creation (SOP, Best Practice) to ensure appropriate record keeping is available for the different stages of the Procurement Innovation process.

QualificationsQualifications/Requirements:

  • A numerate bias degree (e.g. Scientific/Finance/Engineering/Computer).
  • Experience in manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
  • Creation and management of databases, comfortable using data visualization software and ability to automate data capture and manipulation.
  • You will have strong analytical skills, high attention to detail with proven experience of collecting data, analysing and disseminate significant amounts of information. Experience of analysing data for patterns, trends and anomalies.
  • Ability to distil complex data into succinct messages using appropriate reporting formats.
  • Self-starter & self-motivated. Proven ability to execute and deliver to meet strict deadlines & business commitments.
  • Experienced with Data Models and Database design development, Data Mining and Segmentation techniques. Proven experience in systems and use of multiple software packages.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) & display an ability to work with and communicate with individuals across a variety of functions and levels.
  • Minimum of 2 years in experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models.
