Job Description Summary

The Principal Technical Product Manager is responsible for the delivery of Advanced Nuclear Project Delivery Tools that are orchestrated both in a project specific common data environment, and in a GE Vernova specific environment built for interfacing with project specific common data environment. Scope includes Configuration Management and BIM tools along with other fleet level software applications for the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor.

Preferred work location is GE Hitachi Nuclear headquarters in Wilmington NC, but highly qualified remote (US Based) candidates will be considered.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the common data environment tools such that they are ready for project delivery to include tool deployment and change management.
• Responsible for the execution of the Advanced Nuclear Digital Strategy Roadmap as it pertains to Project Delivery.
• Serve as the interface to Project Digital Project Management Tool in facilitating effective project Common Data Environment IT Governance
• Serve as the interface to engineering Disciplines and cross functional teams such as Configuration Management or Procurement regarding tooling needs (although the disciplines own the work processes). 
• Serve as the interface to IT and Cyber with respect to work practice execution and IT Governance.
• Leverages deep process/domain expertise and partners with Product Owner and technical development team. Influences key stakeholders in design and planning decisions. Drives the development of products that are targeted at a (usually) very technical audience. Combines the customer vision with technical feasibility to convert business needs into functional specifications/user stories. Works with customers/stakeholders to prioritize needs. Creates the strategic roadmap for the product. Coordinates work of several parallel teams to deliver on higher level outcomes. Responsible for transparent delivery and maximizing returns. Focuses on execution for the duration of a product release.
• Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.
• Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
• Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
• May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others’ options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering roles

The salary range for this position is $128-202k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
