What You Will Do

Pratt & Whitney Puerto Rico is seeking a Principal Specialist Procurement who will be responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity. Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family. Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. May perform delivery assurance responsibilities.

  • Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution.
  • Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
  • Responsible for all aspects of PO placement and delivery assurance within a commodity and directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family.
  • May perform delivery assurance responsibilities, support project management activities, and reviews and maintain KPI’s for the team members.
  • Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required and based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.
  • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.
  • Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and have availability to travel up to 15% to 20% domestically.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business Administration, Information Technology or Engineering and 5 years of global supply chain experience or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience in global supply chain.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor in Finance, Accounting or Information Technology.
  • Experience with ERP, MRP (especially SAP), or MS Office suite.
