The role:

We are seeking a Preparation and Laboratory Assistant to join our team at our Muswellbrook site. This is a casual position with view to permanency. The focus of this role will be using specialised equipment and performing manual handling tasks to prepare coal samples and laboratory testing. You will also be involved in the simulation of coal production processes in order to test the properties of coal samples.

What’s needed?

To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:

  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling tasks

  • Previous laboratory or sample preparation experience in any field would be well regarded but is not essential

  • Certificate III or IV in Laboratory skills (preferred but not required)

  • A methodical and well organised approach to your work.

  • Reliable and able to work shift work, weekends and overtime as required.

  • Ability to pass an Order 43 Medical

  • Valid NSW driver’s license

Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.

Must live locally in the Muswellbrook region. NO FIFO.
