Are you a dedicated Staff Nurse looking for a new challenge? Our client is seeking a passionate Staff Nurse to join their Pre-Operative Assessment team in North West London. - Assessing patients’ health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload.
- Undertaking electronic pre-operative assessments.
- Identifying and escalating patients of concern to senior nursing staff.
- Conducting full patient health assessments and triaging pre-operative requirements.
- Assisting in the delivery of care to meet individual health and well-being needs.
- Providing and receiving complex, sensitive, or contentious information.
- Developing your own knowledge and skills as well as those of others.
- Promoting best practices in health, safety, and security.
- Assisting in maintaining and developing services.

The ideal candidate for the Staff Nurse role will have:
- Registration as a Nurse with no restrictions on practice.
- Experience working in teams with minimal supervision.
- Experience in an acute environment.
- Competence across a range of skills along with professional and clinical knowledge.
- Advanced IT skills for electronic pre-operative assessment systems.
- Desirable skills in phlebotomy, venepuncture, and ECG (or willingness to be trained).
- Outstanding communication skills.
- A surgical background is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to undertake a Pre-Operative Assessment Association course within 12 months of employment.
