Learn more atThe positions can be in one of our three groups: (a) health economics modelling, (b) market access analytics and (c) health technology assessment and decision science. We are seeking highly motivated, conscientious and diligent scientists, who are flexible, dynamic, and able to work with autonomy to drive their individual projects forward while also contributing to their groups as an integral team member. The Postdoctoral Fellow will receive comprehensive training on health technology assessment, conducting market access analytics and real-world evidence research and developing economic models by our internal experts. They will also learn about the application of their work towards market access and reimbursement decisions around the world. Successful candidates will work with team members and other market access colleagues on analyses relevant to their role which can include:
- Conduct literature and/or database reviews related to Health Technology Assessment (HTA) including health economic evaluations and cost-effectiveness analyses as well as real-world evidence research.
- Design and develop comparative effectiveness analyses using clinical trial and real-world evidence research, health economic models to conduct cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses and/or HTA (predictive) analyses/ models.
- Program the economic models using Microsoft Excel with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and/or R.
- Contribute to the review and drafting of research protocols, statistical analysis plans and perform statistical analyses (e.g., descriptive statistics and multi-variate analyses)
- Develop reports, abstract and manuscripts
- Develop and deliver presentations for a diverse technical and general audience
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a recent or expected Doctorate Degree (e.g., Ph.D.) in Economics/Health Economics, Statistics/Biostatistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, Health Services Research, or other relevant programs with strong quantitative trainings.
- The candidate must be self-motivated, productive, and team-oriented, with proven scientific problem-solving skills with an interest in the international context of healthcare systems and health technology assessment.
- The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The preferred candidate has strong computer skills with Excel (including VBA programming) and SAS and/or R with an excellent understanding of statistics or econometrics.
- Independence, creativity, and critical thinking to both challenge and develop ideas are needed.
- The ability to work well in collaborative, cross-functional teams is required. Demonstrated leadership capabilities are preferred.
