All three operating segments work together to deliver attractive financial outcomes for our clients, and superior shareholder returns.Through our behaviours of telling it like it is, owning it now, and moving it forward together with care and integrity; we are creating an exceptional place to work for exceptional talent.We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and also offer work place accommodations to ensure you have what you need to effectively deliver in your role.Portfolio Lead Business AnalystThe Technology and Business Change function supports the asset management business of M&G comprising Equities, Multi-asset & Sustainability, Fixed Income, Private Markets, Research, Risk and Performance, Compliance, Global Distribution and Operations.The function works closely with the asset management business to create a technology and data platform and business operating mode that provides a stable operating environment and delivers capability and scale to enable great client outcomes and drive profitable growth.The Role:This role provides senior business analyst expertise and delivery outcomes in the Client & Distribution Portfolio, as well as to support in people management aspects such as recruitment, performance management and career development for a small team (c5-6) of business analysts. The role holder will work with other Portfolio Lead BA’s to develop the Business Analysis Centre of Excellence (CoE), to drive improvements across all of Asset Management Business Change & Technology.Alongside the people leadership responsibilities, this position requires the individual to own analysis activities to support business case creation, requirements specification, solution design, testing requirements and more.The Client & Distribution Portfolio has initiatives spanning Marketing, Distribution, Client Servicing and Client Reporting. The role holder will work closely along the Client & Distribution Programme Manager and Head of Client & Distribution Technology, and will have stakeholders within the each business function.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of business analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Support the development and maintenance of best practices, methodologies, and standards for the x-Portfolio community of business analysis activities across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including senior management, project managers, and subject matter experts, to understand business objectives and requirements.
  • Lead the identification, analysis, and documentation of business processes, systems, data and user requirements and acceptance testing to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Drive the development and implementation of effective business analysis strategies, tools, and techniques to ensure accurate and comprehensive requirements gathering.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to elicit and validate business requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Analyse and evaluate complex business problems, processes, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of high-quality business analysis deliverables, including functional and data specifications, use cases, process flows, and requirements traceability matrices.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of business analysis activities, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and proactively addressing them to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analysis, and apply this knowledge to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the business analysis function.
  • Work with programme team to ensure clear timeline for requirement delivery as part of the overall programme plan, with clear set of milestones articulated and under management
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Drive and challenge project team members on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
  • Work with the business teams to lead acceptance testing and operational readiness and support the planning for the business adoption of the solution.

Key Skills, Competencies & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within business analysis, with a track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects.
  • Deep understanding of Marketing, Distribution and Client Service activities and processes within Asset Management. Knowledge of Salesforce and Adobe Experience Manager are desirable.
  • Knowledge of (IBOR OR ABOR and Client) data sets
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as requirements elicitation, process modelling, and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and translate business needs into practical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Experience in Agile or other iterative project management methodologies is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications in Business Analysis is highly desirable
