Job Description:A quick look at the role.The PMO Resource Manager is responsible for leading and managing the team of PMO Administrators, as well as overseeing the effective allocation and utilisation of technical, project, and change management resources within the organisation. The role ensures that project management standards and methodologies are consistently applied across the department, and is a key role in the successful nurture, prioritisation and execution of group approved projects. The PMO Resource Manager also collaborates with senior leadership to improve resource planning, balance workloads, and ensure the timely delivery of projects..Your core responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of PMO Administrators, providing guidance, support, and conducting performance reviews.
• Manage and maintain a system for allocation and utilization of technical and project resources across the entire department (100+ staff).
• Collaborate with senior leadership to improve resource planning, balance workloads, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and frameworks, through onboarding, training and support to project resources.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of change management processes and methodologies within the department.
• Monitor the resource budget and assist in financial forecasting.
• Work with finance and procurement teams to manage the cost of external contractors and consultants as needed.
• Prepare regular operational and managerial reports covering project performance, stage gating, resource utilization and RAID management.

Our essential requirements

• 5 years of experience in resource management within a PMO or project environment
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team
• Prince 2 Practitioner certified, with a solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, etc.) and change management principles
• Experience working with project and programme resource management tools (e.g., MS Project, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of project lifecycles, governance frameworks, and change management practices
