Job ID: 38989Platform EngineerLloyd’s RegisterLocation: UK – LondonWhat we’re looking forThe Platform Engineer will primarily support and troubleshoot LR’s cloud-hosted AWS environment supporting business-critical applications in LR’s In-Service Compliance sector. This is a regular full-time position.Requirements: UK Candidates MUST have a UK government security clearance OR alternatively, are citizens of one of the NATO countries.As an international organization, you will have good knowledge of the English language, oral and written.What we offer you

The role

• Work on change initiatives in Azure cloud environment and support integrations between the 2 platforms.
• Be familiar with AWS Marketplace and be able to help the Platform Owner implement a strategic roadmap for AWS to keep the open source technologies used in AWS up to date and compliant.
• Be familiar working in multi-skilled technical teams, bridging the gap between applications and the underlying infrastructure.
• Be responsible for implementing a regular patching cycle in response to vulnerability scans managed by LR’s Information Security team.
• Be involved in supporting the development and maintenance of Docker API infrastructure using AWS Farscape, AWS API Gateway and AWS Cognito.
• Supporting the transition from CentOS to Linux 2 OS will be a key deliverable in the first 12 months.

What you bring

• Experience of DevOps/Agile/SCRUM working practices
• Experience of Linux/Centos/Windows operating system
• Knowledge and experience of managing deployment pipelines (Jenkins, etc)
• Experience with AWS and Azure Security frameworks, My SQL DB are preferred
• Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Terraform templates for environments
• Good understanding in the Defence industry, certification preferred (ISO27001, CyberEssentials +, UK Defence Accreditation
