1The UK Mission to the United Nations (UN) & World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Geneva represents the interests and policies of the UK across international organisations based in Geneva and is looking for a Personal Assistant (PA) to provide administrative support to the Permanent Representative to the Conference on Disarmament (‘Disarmament Ambassador’) and the Deputy Head of Mission.The role requires excellent organisational and logistical skills, good time management, efficiency and attention to detail, a dependable, responsible team player who can take ownership of their tasks and deal confidently with senior staff and contacts. They should be a good communicator and coordinator, ideally with some French, able to multi-task and deliver to a high standard, diplomatically, often under time pressure.Roles and responsibilities:Diary management, coordinating meetings with senior diplomats and other Missions & arranging travel.Collate background material and speaking points before events/meetings.Taking minutes for some meetings.Acting as Board Secretary for Corporate issues.Organising events – including official lunches and dinners, and incoming visits, welcoming visitors to the Mission.Keeping records of expenditure for budget recording/planning.Assisting with logistics including for the wider Disarmament delegation in collaboration with the Disarmament intern.They will also work closely with the wider team providing administrative support to other senior members, supporting and covering for one another. They will forge strong working relationships with their counterparts in other missions. There may occasionally be the possibility to represent the UK at external events, reporting back to colleagues in the Mission and in London.Essential qualifications, skills and experience 1

  • Fluency at C1 level in English according to CEFR framework*, or equivalent
