Established Irish construction company are currently seeking an experienced Payments Team Leader to join their growing finance team.As the Payments Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing the Payments Specialists to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments to vendors, employees, and other stakeholders. You will have previous experience working in a similar role, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and provide guidance, training, and support to Payments Specialists to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Oversee the processing of vendor payments, payroll payments, and manual payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review payment requests for completeness, accuracy, and proper authorization before processing payments.
• Prepare regular reports and key performance indicators for management review.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to streamline disbursement processes, enhance accuracy, and improve efficiency.

Key skills and Requirements

• 3+ years in a Payments Specialist position with a strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices related to payment processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communications, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity with experience in achieving deadlines, organizing and prioritizing tasks.
• Strong IT skills, experience working with banking platforms and COINS preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
