About the Role
As a full-time Overnight Public Areas Attendant, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the Hotel’s public areas and back-of-house areas in accordance with departmental and hotel standards. You will assist in the efficient and smooth operations of the department in accordance with the established brand standards as per Hyatt International.
Working in a specialised team, you will support both the Executive Housekeeper and the Assistant Manager in the day-to-day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.
This varied and dynamic role provides a chance to develop your Hospitality career within an international company; either in Australia or overseas.
Some of the responsibilities include:
Maintain the cleanliness of public areas, corridors and surrounding back of house areas
Carry out scheduled deep cleaning of areas
Ensure storage rooms are kept locked at all times
Safe handling of cleaning chemicals, specialised equipment and machines
Collection and dispose of rubbish at the end of each shift
Ensure carpets and upholstery are stain free through vacuuming, spot cleaning and shampooing
Clean fixtures, glass, mirrors and polish metal surfaces
Clean bathrooms and replenish toiletries as necessary
Ensure all soap dispensers and toilet paper are re-filled in all toilets of the hotels public areas including staff toilets
Report any defects or maintenance to housekeeping Management
Report any lost and damaged items following the policy’s and procedures
Qualifications:
Previous experience in Public Area cleaning within a hotel environment (four or five-star hotel experience is preferred) or similar fast-paced, cleaning services environment
A strong attention to detail
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
The ability to act consistently with clear ethics and values in accordance to confidentially
Superior customer service skills along with the capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team
The flexibility to work a rotating roster (11.00pm to 07.00am), including weekends and public holidays
