Job Description:

At TD Securities our Dublin Data Operations team are looking for candidates to support our daily FX process. Effectively, successful candidates will be required to support our Settlements and Middle Office teams to update Standard Settlements Instructions, amend static data to ensure smooth settlement of trades. Perform investigation work regarding any Ad Hoc issues where trades do not feed STP. Ensure daily queries are resolved and cleared from queue.

In this role, you will:

  • Have experience supporting FX payments, familiar with SWIFT messaging.
  • Candidate will be familiar with reviewing and setting up client Standard Settlement Instructions.
  • Candidate will be able to work under pressure at times and complete FX tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize certain tasks during busy periods of working day.
  • Ability to manage expectations and provide regular updates to Settlements team re: priority queries.
  • Candidate will perform daily tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Complete FX counterparty set ups of TD Securities customers in various source systems.
  • Manage the maintenance of SSI data in various systems for new and existing clients.
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to inquiries, escalating when necessary.
  • Achieve a service standard of error free processing by ensuring accurate inputting of data to mitigate risk to TD (eg. reputational, financial, regulatory, operational risk);
  • Work with Manager to ensure distribution of work and management of team mailbox are efficiently handled and prioritized to ensure daily tasks completed before market cut-off.
  • Maintain and support business partner relationships across regions and respective business groups.
  • Maintain and update procedural documents if required.
  • Work with Project Delivery Teams for key initiatives such as UAT projects for example.
  • Assist with gathering data for internal auditors and other control areas as required.
  • Assist Manager to identify required fixes for escalations and exceptions.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how various Capital Market products are set up and maintained in TD Trading systems (e.g., Fixed Income, FX)

Job Requirements:

  • Act as an SME for significant risks/exceptions that may arise.
  • Monitor service and control standards against overall business/department objectives.
  • Provide frontline feedback to Client Strategy and broader process improvement functions.
  • Proactively identify key business opportunities, research and recommend system enhancement/modifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for issues that arise, evaluate options and provide recommendations; ensure appropriate reporting and escalation of issues.
  • Provide expertise and coordinate implementation and testing of new processes and enhancements to systems and ensure these are well documented.
  • Ability to effectively train team members and share FX / Swift knowledge and understanding.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and handle high volumes of work in a demanding environment.
  • Motivated to learn quickly and deliver on business deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems effectively.
  • A go-getter who can exercise initiative and ability to handle several tasks and changing priorities.

Other

Position requires candidates to attend office at least two days a week once their probation period has passed. Prior to that and to facilitate smooth integration and cross training, new joiners will be required to attend office more frequently in their first three months.
