Job description
This position seeks a dedicated and skilled NPI Engineer to join the Engineering & Manufacturing team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing innovative products and ensuring their successful introduction into the market.
- Develop and implement new product introduction (NPI) strategies, including CAD Design, SOP writing, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and other engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain) to ensure the timely and successful delivery of new products.
- Oversee all aspects of the product lifecycle, from initial concept and design to market launch, ensuring technical feasibility and design for manufacturability.
- Identify and resolve technical issues impacting product performance, including design modifications and process improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery throughout the product development and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure smooth product launch, managing timelines, resources, and technical support.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, outlining key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
