Job Summary
The New Product Development (NPD) Associate Project Manager is a fast paced, wide ranging and exciting role that is responsible for the delivery of Oral Care (OC) innovation projects for Australia and New Zealand, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the quality standards required. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, (Marketing (MKT), Research & Development (R&D), Procurement, Quality, Finance, Planning etc), coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all project activities align with overall business goals.
Please note: This is a 12 month fixed term contract role.
Main Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and manage OC NPD projects, from inception to launch.

Closely work with various internal stakeholders, including MKT and R&D, on new product designs.

Conduct quarterly NPD performance reviews with the commercial teams.

Coordinate all stakeholder inputs ensuring projects are delivered within defined time and cost targets, anticipating and escalating risks as they arise.

Responsible for project timeline building and track, product cost estimation and project budget.

Manage sourcing set up for any new or existing locations.

Monitor SKU counts and lead simplification initiatives for these categories.

Identify and implement Funding the Growth (FTG) projects via product optimization/simplification and process improvement.

Understand basic production safety/quality/compliance knowledge, and complete relevant training.
Required (Education, Knowledge required, Language skills, etc)

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.

5 years of project management experience, ideally within FMCG.

Proven leadership experience in cross-functional team settings.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Effectively manage ambiguity – ability to be agile as project evolves whilst maintaining commitment to key deliverables.
Preferred Requirements

Strong knowledge of NPD processes and project management methodologies.

Prior experience in Supply Chain.

Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
