Budgeted salary: $80,000 – $96,0000 Annually

JOB SUMMARY

MedGlobal.org is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Development Manager to lead efforts at cultivating loyal donors across the United States. This individual will oversee the planning, execution, and success of fundraising events, build strategic relationships with potential high-end donors, houses of worship, corporations and other institutions, and manage a team of event coordinators. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising, event management, and community engagement, with a passion for humanitarian work.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising Event Management
• Plan, organize, and execute national and regional fundraising events to support MedGlobal’s mission.
• Identify and secure venues, sponsors, and partners to host successful events.
• Develop and manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to ensure smooth execution.
• Collaborate with event coordinators and volunteers to manage event operations, including marketing, ticket sales, and donor stewardship.
• Relationship Building and Outreach, with emphasis on potential high net-worth donors
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mosques, houses of worship, and other faith-based organizations nationwide to foster support for MedGlobal’s initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporations and other institutions for matched funding initiatives.
• Act as the primary liaison between MedGlobal and community leaders, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and goals.
• Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage diverse communities.
Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of event coordinators and volunteers across the country.
• Provide training and support to team members, ensuring consistency in event execution and community engagement efforts.
• Set performance goals, monitor progress, and conduct regular evaluations for team members.
Strategic Development
• Research and identify new fundraising opportunities, including donor prospects, partnerships, and sponsorships.
• Analyze the effectiveness of events and outreach efforts, providing reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns to support events.

Donor Stewardship
• Cultivate relationships with individual donors, sponsors, and community partners to build a sustainable donor base.
• Ensure donors are acknowledged and informed about the impact of their contributions.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, event planning, or community outreach.
• Proven experience working with mosques, houses of worship, or diverse communities is desirable.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across diverse communities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and initiatives simultaneously.
• Proficiency in fundraising software (CRMs) and event management tools.
• Knowledge of cultural and religious sensitivities and giving practices within various faith-based, especially Muslims, and ethnic communities.
• Leadership and team management experience, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers.
• Budget management and financial planning skills.
• Passionate about humanitarian causes and committed to MedGlobal’s mission.
• Culturally competent, with a deep understanding of diverse religious and ethnic traditions.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel nationally for events and community outreach (30-40% travel required).
