We are now looking for a kind and reliable Full Time Multi Task Assistant for our Swords Home, to provide excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene that are maintained throughout our Home.The Ideal Candidate will have:· Previous practical experience in working in a similar environment is desirable but not essential.· Passion about elder care, providing residents with a safe, clean environment to live in.· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.· A professional, caring and empathetic nature.· Be comfortable working in a sometimes challenging environment.· Good level of English language skills.· Availability to work varied shift patterns, Monday to Sunday.Job PurposeWorking between the Catering, Laundry and Housekeeping departments as per business needs.Catering: Assisting the Head Chef in the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas while adhering to all food safety requirementsLaundry: Responsible for washing, drying and ironing of all personal and household Laundry within the nursing home in a timely manner.Housekeeping: To ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the nursing home.Kitchen

• Bringing porridge/stock as needed to all floors in line with agreed timelines
• Meeting agreed timelines in ensuring all crockery, utensils and condiments are collected, washed and available on time for meal times.
• Load dishwasher after each serving on all floors, unloading once complete
• Deep clean twice daily on all floors
• Set tables for lunches and teatime on all floors at agreed times
• Lunch time (float)
• Transfer trolleys to and from kitchen in a timely manner in line with service needs
• Clean trolleys before and after each serving
• Stock check on all floors after each serving
• Assist service and cleaning on all floors as required
• Ensuring all serving and eating areas are clean
• Adherence to the safe storage and use of all food and cleaning products
• Compliance with Haccp guidelines as directed by the Head Chef ensuring all work practices are in line with regulations
• Ensure all the equipment is cleaned to a high standard as directed
• Ensuring waste is to a minimum
• Rotate where necessary to meet the catering demands of the role as directed

Housekeeping

• Daily cleaning of allocated bedrooms and general areas within the Nursing Home
• Assisting in keeping the dining area organized clean and tidy
• Daily washing of crockery at assigned dining area where applicable
• Managing the safe storage and own use of cleaning chemicals and other products
• Collection and correct disposable of domestic and clinical waste
• Providing intensive cleaning techniques in M.R.S.A Infected rooms as directed
• Rotate where necessary to meet the housekeeping demands of the role

Laundry

• Proactively sorting and labeling clothing
• Daily laundering and ironing of clothing within the nursing room
• Managing storage and own use of cleaning and other products
• Collection and correct disposable of domestic and clinical waste
• Providing intensive cleaning techniques to M.R.S.A Infected clothes as directed
• Maintaining the Laundry service area and surrounds
• Rotate where necessary to meet the Laundry demands of the role
