The position is open until 6 March 2024 but iMMAP Inc. will proceed with interviewing suitable and available candidates on a rolling basis and could close the hiring process before the set date if a suitable and competent candidate is identified.

Please note that it is expected for the selected candidate to start, ideally, in his/her new functions by 17 March 2024 at the latest.

Description of Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Business Development, Impact and Partnerships Director and in close collaboration with other HQ teams and colleagues, including our Country Office personnel, the incumbent shall be responsible for:

  • Establish, lead and coordinate the iMMAP Inc. M&E Task Force and implement its recommendations;
  • Improve the overall program management cycle through enhancing iMMAP Inc. M&E System
  • Develop M&E Plans for iMMAP Inc. Programms and Projects (Theory of Change, logical framework, SMART indicators, Reporting Plan, Evaluation Plan, Work Plan) in compliance with relevant organizational and donor standards/requirements;
  • Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation systems;
  • Advice iMMAP Inc. HQ and Country teams to develop Risk Management Matrixes for all projects;
  • Guide the Business Development Unit, Country Offices and Desks in developing donor’s proposals streamlining M&E and Reporting requirements;
  • Define and design visualization dashboard, related to KPIs;
  • Update regularly M&E guidelines internal to iMMAP Inc.;
  • Adapt and implement industry best practices to quantify impact and reach of projects;
  • Participate in the design and implementation of data collection tools;
  • Lead the implementation of internal and external evaluations using mixed methods, to be able to measure successful the effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability and impact of the work done by iMMAP Inc.;
  • Develop and submit high quality reports on project performance for internal and external purpose;
  • Provide capacity building and training of program staff on M&E technical and conceptual areas;
  • Support Country Programmes and HQ teams with all tasks related to M&E;
  • Develop donor’s reporting templates;
  • Conduct monitoring missions;
  • Capture, disseminate and use lessons learned and case studies;
  • Perform any other ad hoc task and duty, when and if required.

Education and experience

Education

  • University Degree in international development, sociology, business management, statistics, economics or related field or demonstrated strong working experience in the field of M&E.

Experience

  • At least 5+ years of demonstrated working experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning.
  • Experience with humanitarian and/or development programming.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS in development projects implemented by national/international NGOs/UN bodies/ Government.
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
  • Strong learning background, and demonstrated experience in digital and innovative learning approaches.
  • Strong knowledge of typical M&E activities (Logframes, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, sampling, quantitative and qualitative analytical approaches, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of humanitarian and/or development M&E frameworks and standards (OECD DAC, SPHERE, INEE, etc.).
  • Experience in two, or more, of these programmatic areas:

IT Skills

  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports.
  • Proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS software using database software.
  • Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software.
  • Skill in one of these data management software is valued: STATA; Epi-Info; SPSS; ENA; NVivo; ATLAS.ti; R; KOBO; SurveyCTO.
  • Strong experience and expertise of the Microsoft Office 365 suite (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Power Bi etc.,).

Languages

  • Strong advanced and demonstrated working and professional knowledge (written and oral) of English is mandatory;
  • Strong advanced and demonstrated working and professional knowledge of French, Spanish and/or Arabic is an asset.
