As part of a not-for-profit organisation, we aim to achieve outstanding results for our customers based on our values – working in an open and transparent way, creating strong partnerships with our customers and providing a first-class customer service.Mobile CaretakerHackney, East London – covering Bromley, Streatham, Brixton, Croydon£26,963 – £28,382 per year40 hours per weekWe have an opportunity for a Mobile Caretaker to join our Estate Services team, based in Hackney. As a Mobile Caretaker you will be responsible for maintaining communal areas of our sheltered, supported living and general needs properties. You will work alongside another caretaker in a team of 2 and will have a company van for business use only.The role of Mobile Caretaker will include:

  • Undertaking general caretaking and cleaning duties including cleaning communal areas such as stairs, doors and windows, communal lounge and rest room areas, moving bulk waste.
  • Grounds maintenance tasks when required to include lawn mowing, hedge trimming and general upkeep
  • Working with customers to identify faults, resolving issues and improving services
  • Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in a suitable condition

Skills and experiences:

  • Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Grade C English and Maths GCSE
  • Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
  • Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
  • Good communication and customer care skills
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
