Job DescriptionJob Opportunity: Staff Grade Medical Physicist (Permanent)We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Medical Physicist to join the Medical Physics division of a leading private healthcare facility in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary environment providing support to radiotherapy and diagnostic imaging services. The role primarily focuses on radiotherapy but will also involve work in diagnostic radiology and radiation protection.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical physics support for high-quality diagnostic and radiation therapy services for cancer patients.
  • Assist the Radiotherapy department in setting up new systems to meet hospital and patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Physicist to maintain best practices and management within the Medical Physics Department.

Essential Criteria:

  • A recognised honours degree in Physics or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven ability and knowledge required to effectively discharge the duties of the post.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Completion of formal training in medical physics.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Experience in medical imaging or radiotherapy.
  • Previous experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
