Then, this role might just be for you!As our Medical Manager, you will be responsible to define the local medical strategy for current and upcoming indications in the Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Therapeutic Area. You will lead the medical projects within the therapeutic area as defined in the regional plans, provide medical expertise, and share key insights from the field to the Brand team.As a Medical Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust scientific and medical relationships with External Experts (EEs). Moreover, you will facilitate the exchange of medical, clinical, and scientific information with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.In your role, you will also work closely, collaborate and support different internal teams including Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Pharmacovigilance, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs and QM.The work location is Brussels. 50% of your time will be spent in the field and some travelling might be required. You will report directly to the local Medical Affairs Lead.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain a network and interact with External Experts (EEs) and other health care professionals, authorities, patient organizations.
- Provide scientific therapeutic area information to brand team and co-create the strategic plan, develop local activities, and provide medical/clinical background to Market Access.
- Ensure medical strategic input for the different products in the Therapeutic Area (TA) during the full lifecycle (pre-launch/launch/LCM).
- Initiate and manage clinical and scientific activities and projects.
- Develop training plans in collaboration with Sales and Marketing, including in-field training for sales representatives.
- Gather insights from interactions with EE’s and create actionable strategies based on them.
- Be the scientific discussion partner for investigators presenting investigation ideas (IIS, Investigator Initiated Studies).
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Masters or PhD in Medicine, Pharmacy or Life Sciences.
- At least 3 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry as Medical Manager, Medical Advisor or Medical Science Liaison.
- Excellent command of English and French or Dutch.
- Strong business acumen and strategic mindset.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills to share scientific content and context to multiple audiences – both orally and in writing.
- Excellent project & change management skills.
- Results oriented, proactive & entrepreneurial.
- Team-player with experience working in diverse teams.
