Job Description Summary Consistent with overall product strategy, the Medical Advisor is responsible for supporting the design, implementation and execution of medical affairs plans for assigned therapy area, providing scientific information, helping design and organize clinical trials, building educational dialogue with KOLs and regulatory stakeholders.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Ensure medical studies are responded to in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable standards; establish standard response documents for frequently asked questions.
- Provide medical/scientific input in the development and execution of clinical research or clinical research related activities, including initiating and overseeing clinical trials/clinical research within the relevant therapeutic area. Support country strategy for non-interventional studies / investigator initiated trial activities.
- Coordinate review and approval of medical materials and locally developed promotional materials; ensure that medical materials from the global or region for stakeholder engagement and events are aligned with local needs and are reviewed/approved according to local/P3 guidelines.
- Ensure medical insights are provided to cross functional groups including, but not limited to: Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, QA, Commercial teams, Brand team and others.
- Responsible for risk identification and assessment, mitigation planning and implementation and monitoring of appropriate internal controls in the area of responsibilities.
- Reporting of technical complaints / adverse reactions / special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt
- Distribution of samples for marketing (if applicable)
Essential Requirements:
- Ideally medical degree (MD), PhD, or a related biomedical degree.
- Preferred previous experience in the role of Medical Advisor or similar role
- Languages: English, Dutch, French
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, particularly in medical affairs, clinical research, or regulatory affairs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex scientific information.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities to interpret clinical data and develop medical strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address medical and scientific challenges.
- Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries
