Job Summary Outreach at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Media Production Specialist! The Media Production Specialist will work to elevate the visibility and enhance the brand of the Government & Economic Development Institute (GEDI), a unit of Auburn University Outreach. This position will bring creative energy and innovative graphic design skills to GEDI and will play a pivotal role in visually communicating the mission and values of GEDI.
The Government & Economic Development Institute manages professional development certification training programs for Alabama governmental associations and agencies. This position will support the marketing of educational programs and communicating their impact to individuals, communities, and stakeholders across the state using digital media and messaging.

Essential Functions
  • Create visually appealing and cohesive designs for a range of materials, including print collateral, digital assets/video, social media graphics, and presentations, ensuring alignment with the organization’s brand guidelines.
  • Experience creating engaging motion graphics or animation to enhance visual storytelling in video projects.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Collaborate effectively with team members, incorporating feedback to refine designs and meet project goals.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and best practices in graphic design. Introduce innovative and creative concepts that elevate the visual identity of the Government & Economic Development Institute and Auburn University Outreach.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand standards in all design outputs, contributing to a unified and recognizable brand presence.
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion.
  • Meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of quality in all deliverables.
  • Occasional travel within Alabama may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Film or Television Production, Computer Graphics or related field
Level I – Bachelor’s degree
Level II – Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience providing creative, technical, or support services for various medias.
Substitutions allowed for Education:
8 years of experience in providing creative, technical, or support services for various medias accepted in lieu of a degree

Substitutions allowed for Experience:
Graduate degrees accepted in lieu of experience, at a rate of one year relevant education per year of required experience.
