Location: Foster City, CA Duration: 6 Months Responsibilities The Marketing Team is part of the Communications Department. The Media Marketing Manager is responsible for working closely with members of the marketing team, Client creative team and our media agency to develop processes and media plans that realize our Brand and Demand KPI’s. This role is responsible for: developing and executing media plans that are on-strategy, for reporting on campaign performance, uncovering insights and adhering to optimization schedules that ensure peak performance, and for shepherding creative deliverables and cross-functional approval timelines internally and externally. You will be extremely knowledgeable buying and advanced targeting tactics that will reach our future riders across the media landscape, especially Digital channels: search (paid and organic), social media, programmatic display and mobile. Knowledge and experience in more traditional reach channels like OOH, Audio and Print are a bonus. Your ability to support creative media campaigns, leverage data-driven strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be instrumental in achieving our KPIs. You must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, a positive, solution-focused attitude, and be a self-starter. Responsibilities: Planning and buying Developing a media strategy and holding agencies accountable to delivery Determining the most suitable media mix given the nature of our business, budget and preferred advertising media Briefing media agency Ensuring that advertising messages align with company objectives In partnership with the buying agency, compile and issue buy specs to the creative agency, help facilitate and QA creative assets and trafficking Work alongside SEO team to align paid search manage internal communications, performance reporting and budget allocation for assigned accounts Researching the current media landscape and keeping up to date with the latest media trends, targeting tactics and competitive landscape Stay updated with emerging trends in urban mobility and incorporate them into campaigns Bringing new audience and media insights into the conversation to keep the work feeling fresh Help reconcile media budgets and partner invoices, working with the invoice auditor (billing) Reporting and optimization Monitoring the performance of online and offline advertising campaigns and reporting the results to relevant stakeholders Assist in the development and delivery of compelling insight and reporting presentations In partnership with media agency, track campaign KPIs and overall performance Conduct A/B testing and data analysis to refine campaign strategies and improve conversion rates (optimization schedules) Understanding of viewability/brand safety measurement, tagging and tracking, and key levers to ensure campaign performance as well as campaign impact Instilling process and managing cross-functional development and approvals Building and maintaining relationships with agencies/vendors Manage/track internal approvals across creative and media plans Create and maintain records of insertion orders, schedules, contracts, etc., and work to meet vendor and development deadlines Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field 4+ years in media planning with an agency Combination of problem solving, creativity and strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and media math proficiency Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and meet deadlines and budget Excellent written and verbal communication skills Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative campaign ideas tailored to urban mobility Team player with excellent interpersonal skills Strong grasp of the digital and traditional marketing landscape. Bonus Qualifications Past experience in a media buyer or planner role Experience in the transportation or technology industry Experience launching new products or services, ideally B2C Proficiency with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
