Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading Waste Water company to recruit an Mechanical Service Technician for a role based out of Rotherham.The Mechanical Service Technician role comes with a starting salary of £35,000 + company van and laptop.If you have a Mechanical Engineering background and are looking for work, then upload your CV to apply today.
Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to Regional Field Manager you will be responsible for:

• Carrying out site visits to undertake inspections or mechanical service/ fitting work
• Ensuring that respective site work is carried out to a satisfactory standard and that all issues arising during the site work are dealt with immediately and in a professional manner
• Managing the relationship with the client on site
• Creating site reports on completion of site work
• Maximising time on site by liaising with the Regional Field Manager and internal colleagues to ensure any technical or site issues have been discussed and work is completed satisfactory.
• Working closely with suppliers and sub-contractors
• Carrying out the hands-on aspect of the role and actively participate in site as well as job preparation work

Professional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:

• Ideally completed apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or similar, although candidates with NVQ Level 2 will be considered.
• At least 3 years’ working in heavy industry.
• Have previously worked in a field service role or be keen to move into this type of career.
• Confident using Microsoft Office suite and IT literate.
• The ability to weld, especially TIG welding is a strong advantage.

Personal skillsThe Mechanical Service Technician role would suit someone who has:

• Full UK Driving License
• Ability to build relationships with clients and suppliers on site
• Able to work alone or as part of a team
