Reporting to the Design-Build Manager the position will be based in Citywest, Dublin with the requirement to visit client sites around Ireland.Key Responsibilities and DutiesEnsure thorough knowledge and understanding of project deliverables and contractual requirements.Report to and communicate with the Project Manager throughout project execution and take ownership of delegated task and duties.Engage with our design and drawing departments in the preparation and submission of design submissions to the client.Engage with suppliers and subcontractors in meeting project procurement requirements.Support the Project Manager in the management and monitoring of project delivery within defined budget and programme requirements.Anticipate and manage project risks and opportunities.Management of site activities carried out by the client and their subcontractors including planning, installation, commissioning, performance validation and handover to client as well as co-ordination with other contractors working on the site.Ensure that all design, construction and installation activities are carried out in accordance with company safety, health, environmental and quality policies and procedures and in a manner which supports the objectives of our Never Harm Culture and Engagement Programme.Take a leadership role in managing health and safety on site including day to day management, co-ordination and reporting as well as liaising with the SHESQ Manager.Maintain an up to date understanding of all company policies and procedures and participate in external audits as required for ISO accreditation.Maintain a working environment, which is supportive and respectful of other employees.RequirementsB.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent third level qualification.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management of multi-disciplinary MEICA teams in a similar working environment, preferably in the design, construction and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment facilities.Practical experience of managing and co-ordinating teams working in a construction site environment and comprehensive understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.Ability to motivate others and to delegate and monitor activities where appropriate.Ability to work on own initiative and to prioritise and plan workload efficiently as well as to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.Excellent communication skills.Strong IT skills.Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently but also in a team orientated environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.PackageSalary €55k – €65kExcellent company benefits.ContactKaren McHugh is the consultant managing this position.If you have any queries about this role, you can contact Karen by e-mail [email protected] or phone +353-1-7978720
