Not only do we deliver breakthrough medications, but you also can count on us to develop creative solutions to support communities through philanthropy and volunteerism.Main Purpose and Objectives of Position:The Material Operations Digital Lead is responsible for supporting the definition and implementation of Digital Plant systems and capabilities in the Material Management and Supply Chain function, defining digital plant business needs and user requirements, ensuring that the end user requirements are well understood and incorporated into the design, and that the applications and systems used are appropriately configured and integrated to fulfil the business need and enable a Digitally Native operation.The Material Operations Digital Lead will combine their knowledge of Supply Chain and Material Management operations with analytical tools, data handling, modelling and visualization skills, and science and engineering, to deliver digital plant solution to the Limerick materials operations. A significant part of the role will involve working with local and global IT experts and system owners to understand digital system capabilities and system positioning, as well as close collaboration with operations, engineering, TS, QA and QC to understand interdependencies between business processes and digital applications.Key Responsibilities:The role has responsibility in the Material Management and Supply Chain function.Translate the business needs into user requirements for all new digital technologies & solutions in Material Management and Supply Chain that will deliver an automated, paperless, fully integrated, data analytics driven operations and business processes.Develop the standard workflows for how we will use digital technology within the material management, scheduling and supply chain business processes and operations.Define strategies for operational offline and online shakedown and testing of digital solutions post-implementation by IT. Work with the relevant functions to develop test scope and ensure it is planned and executed appropriately.Liaise with operations and IT to develop best training practices to ensure an efficient, effective, and timely knowledge transfer to the end users.Support the implementation of these digital solutions specifically ERP, Scheduling Tools, ASRS, and automated tasks.Develop the user requirements for the function’s Data Collection and Data Analytics needs.Lifecycle owner for the Material Management and Supply Chain function’s Digital roadmap.Educational requirements:Level 8 Degree qualification in Engineering.Additional skills:Minimum 8 years supply chain operations experience with a passion for digital systems.License/ Certificate requirements: NoneLanguage requirements: Proficient in EnglishPersonal considerations: The role operates on standard working week.
