From creating demand to capturing demand, the role of Marketing at ZigZag Global is to build an environment in which retailers feel compelled to improve their returns experience. We do this by close collaboration with product and commercial teams and by making ROI-based marketing decisions to maximize our impact. We are the team that brings big ideas, analysis, market knowledge, and the drive to power ZigZag and our clients forward.The RoleIn addition to selling to Retailers, ZigZag’s also enables logistics providers in the retail industry like postal operators, carriers, and 3PLs to provide a world-class returns solution to their retailers by white labelling (w/l) ZigZag’s returns solutions as their own. In this Marketing Manager role, you will be responsible for creating the marketing plan and activity to drive growth for ZigZag in this sector – this includes executing campaigns, digital marketing, events, email, content marketing and the creation of sales enablement material.The buyer/decision maker for this role will often be a partner company of ZigZag within the retail logistics eco-system. The successful candidate will benefit from ZigZag’s established role at the heart of this ecosystem which means that a network of relationships is already in place. This will help the candidate be successful against the key objectives – to drive demand from new partners and drive uptake from our partner’s retailer base.The successful candidate will have B2B Marketing experience and ideally from the retail logistics sector. Over-time this role will include marketing in ZigZag’s international markets to both retailers and w/l partners, and therefore an additional European language would be an advantage.The role suits a self-motivated and upbeat team player, seeking the opportunity to make the post-purchase experience in retail a better, more sustainable experience that benefits logistics providers, retailers, and customers.ResponsibilitiesAs our Partnerships and International Marketing manager, you will:

  • Create the plan and deliver campaigns to drive demand and leads with new clients in this sector.
  • Create the campaigns and sales enablement material to enable ZigZag’s w/l clients to increase the uptake of ZigZag’s returns solutions from their retailer customer base.
  • Gather research and insights on each market (i.e. Carriers, Postal Operators, 3PLs) to help determine positioning and messaging.
  • Build the value proposition & ROI tools to help white/label clients understand and measure the impact of implementing these solutions for their retailers.
  • Develop the sales enablement material (including videos, infographics, presentations and blogs) to enable Sales Teams to sell with success.
  • Build the digital marketing capability (i.e. website, landing pages, social, email, advertising campaigns, media) to drive demand in line with client acquisition and revenue/GP targets.
  • Run digital campaigns and create the content marketing to tap into keywords with high search volume.
  • Initiate press releases, awards submissions and other media activity in collaboration with partners.
  • Undertake competitor research to provide insights and tools (i.e. battle cards) to be distributed across the relevant ZigZag teams.
  • Build relationships with industry experts, tech partners, and other influencers in the retail and logistics eco-system – to gain wider exposure for ZigZag.
  • Continually refine and supplement ZigZag’s understanding of the relevant buyer personas by market / sector.
  • Build a library of case studies to help bring the value of ZigZag to life.
  • Ability to craft stories and create material that visually & narratively motivates buyers and 3rd party sellers to take action.
  • Proactive use of social media to engage with the target audience and listen to them.
  • Utilize HubSpot marketing automation, workflows, and data analysis tools to track, improve, and scale up campaigns and measure performance and Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI).
  • Deliver newsletters and campaigns on ZigZag’s new products and features to drive demand with new clients and uptake with existing clients.
  • Plan and promote ZigZag attendance and sponsorship of events and webinars.
  • Localise website and marketing collateral for new countries.
  • Build specific country-based marketing campaigns.
  • Work with w/l and international sales managers to set and deliver pipeline targets.
  • Key KPIs – New Qualified Leads, ROI by channel/campaign/market, traffic to webpages and landing pages, advertising performance, digital conversion metrics, and content engagement.
  • Be agile, we are a growing company and sometimes we need to wear different hats!

RequirementsWhat you’ll need to be successful bring to this role

  • 3+ years business experience in B2B Marketing (ideally SaaS)
  • The ability to combine analytical skills and tools to understand the market with creativity and storytelling skills to initiate change.
  • Ideally able to demonstrate experience in Carriers & Marketplaces, Retail & Logistics
  • Digital marketing experience (Google Ads, Paid LinkedIn)
  • Marketing automation & campaigns experience (HubSpot preferred)
  • Willingness to use project management tools (i.e. Asana)
  • Content creation: (i.e. Canva)
  • Additional Language (German, French preferred)
  • Core traits – willingness to experiment, organized, analytical, professional, commercial, optimistic, flexible, self-starter, people person!
