Job title: Marketing Campaign ManagerDepartment: MarketingBased at: Ewood Park, Blackburn, BB2 4JF. Flexibility on location may be required.Reports to: Head of MarketingResponsible for: Marketing Assistant, Marketing Executive, Ecommerce CoordinatorHours of work: 35 hours per week plus all home match days plus any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties. Flexibility regarding hours of work is required due to the nature of the business.Contractual status: PermanentJob purpose: Responsible for developing, executing, and managing multi-channel marketing campaigns that engage fans, drive brand awareness, and generate revenue.Duties and responsibilities:
To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all
stakeholders promoting their well-being whilst maintaining professional
boundaries;
To work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver campaigns across social media, email, web, and other digital platforms, ensuring each initiative aligns with the overall strategic goals of the club;
Develop and execute engaging integrated marketing campaigns for the club’s commercial products, across a variety of channels (social media, paid media, email marketing, content marketing, etc.) that speak to a variety of identified audiences;
Analyse campaign performance through key metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to optimise future initiatives and
demonstrate ROI;
Work with our CRM provider to develop our fan understanding and profiling abilities. Develop campaigns that build our database of engaged audiences and utilise data-driven insights to segment target audiences and personalise campaigns for different fan demographics, ensuring content resonates with both local and global fanbases;
Manage campaign budgets efficiently, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to achieve the desired outcomes without exceeding financial limits;
Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in digital marketing, particularly within the football and sports sectors, and bring innovative ideas to the table to keep campaigns fresh and ahead of the curve; and
Develop and implement strategies to increase fan interaction, loyalty, and advocacy through digital channels, including contests, giveaways, and interactive content.Skills required:
Excellent customer service skills;
The ability to work as part of a team and manage others of different skill sets;
Strong communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling copy for both internal and external comms;
Strong time management and organisational skills;
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple
campaigns simultaneously;
An innovative, proactive and driven mindset; and
Flexible and adaptive approach to workingKnowledge / experience required:
Proven track record of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on campaign management, ideally within the sports industry;
In-depth understanding of football, fan culture and the football ecosystem;
Knowledge and experience of ticketing sales systems;
Knowledge and experience of retail sales systems;
Familiarity with CRM systems, email marketing platforms and digital;
marketing tools such as Google Analytics; and
Experience working within and managing teams.Qualifications required:
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (essential);
Proven track record of working within a management position (essential);and
