Marketing Assistant – Hybrid – GalwayThe Marketing Assistant will report to the Marketing Director and will support in the planning, co-ordination and implementation of multiple, wide-ranging marketing activities and some administrative tasks. They will have the opportunity to work closely with the commercial & medical teams as well as providing support and assistance with the overall CHEMOSAT® marketing strategy. The Marketing Assistant will have a sound understanding of the uniqueness of HCP (Health Care Professional) marketing and be comfortable with understanding basic business and marketing concepts. This company is currently in a period of expansion in the EMEA region and therefore the ideal candidate should be comfortable with multitasking and project prioritisation.This is a hybrid role, where the candidate will be expected to work from both the EMEA HQ in Galway as well as working from home.Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Marketing materials: assist in the creation and approval of marketing content via multiple channels, including print, digital and social media. Assist the Marketing Director with support and upload of material for Pepperflow (review software for medical, legal & regulatory review).
  • Event planning & coordination: assist with the planning and organization of marketing and promotional events such as conferences, virtual events, symposia and internal meetings. Supporting the regional commercial team with local meeting management, venue booking and catering for key events.
  • Promotional materials: support the Marketing Director with selection & purchase of compliant promotional items including ordering and stock level monitoring.
  • Digital marketing: Using digital analytics to ascertain the relative effectiveness of ongoing campaigns and understand the way users interact with our digital tools.
  • CRM: support the commercial team with CRM management including uploading contacts and keeping the database clean.
  • Liaise with external agencies: engage with creative & digital agencies to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of marketing campaigns and website management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: support team members from the commercial and medical teams with contract administration, event co-ordination and promotional materials.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in medical device or pharmaceutical marketing, preferably in a marketing role
  • Educational degree in marketing, business or science
  • Thorough understanding of health care professional (HCP) marketing
  • Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Proactive, structured, organised and performance-oriented individual with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication
  • High level of creativity and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment.
  • Travel required (10%).
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical journals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees and outside organisations.
