As a Market Sales Manager, you will spearhead business development efforts by cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within your assigned markets. Representing the Diamond Vision Division (DVD), you will coordinate internal sales processes and strategies to ensure the successful delivery of our innovative products and services. By driving collaboration and leveraging market insights, you will play a pivotal role in achieving and surpassing the division’s business objectives while fostering long-term partnerships and unlocking new growth opportunities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prospect and develop new customers and pursue customer leads. Develop relationships with key decision makers in various levels of the prospect’s organization to effectively present DVD products and solutions as required to close sales.
Lead efforts to develop and submit timely sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations.
Work with technical operations, engineering, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain sale.
Maintain sales activity reports in CRM system and expense tracking. Formulate and maintain market reports and databases. Communicate sales activity and market information with Executive Sales Manager.
Maintain knowledge of market business and product trends. Continue to pursue and improve product knowledge and sales, technical and financial skills.
Develop and maintain contacts with related industry architects, consulting engineers, specification writers, designers and contractors.
Achieve sales goals and support the business objectives of MEPPI/DVD, including those for Revenue and IBT.
Negotiate favorable sales agreements within MEPPI’s Limits of Authority Policy.
Assist with sales and marketing input to the business system. This includes Profit and Loss, project setup, and kick-off documentation for project transition to technical operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, marketing or business or other relevant technical field, with a minimum 5 years of experience in direct complex sales, technical sales, commercial construction, structural or electrical fields, or equivalent education and experience.
Advanced knowledge of technical and financial terms.
Advanced interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required to communicate with prospects, customers, employees and industry experts.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and on several projects simultaneously.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and commercial agreements.
Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MSOffice products.
