Job contentYou are a member of the Sales team (currently 4 people) in charge of the Cement business in Belgium, which represents a yearly turnover of €185 million. These are your main responsibilities:
You maintain and develop long-term relationships with your portfolio of clients, namely (prefab) concrete producers and construction companies. At the same time, you expand your portfolio through new business development.
Thanks to your networking endeavors, you source tenders for new construction projects, especially for large public infrastructure projects.
Together with the Sales Manager for Belgium, you establish a yearly sales plan, depending on volume and price. Based on this plan, you take the lead in presenting technical-commercial offers to the clients.
You develop and implement a sales strategy that is solution & service oriented. To achieve this goal, you work in close collaboration with other teams of the division: Product Management, Production, Logistics, Marketing, Quality and Technical Support.
You bear full financial responsibility for the orders placed by your clients: margin, profitability, risk management, invoicing, payment follow-up
You keep a permanent eye on the evolution of your market and the global business model of Holcim -cement decarbonization, materials circularity, sustainability legislation…- and identify new business opportunities
In terms of client follow-up and forecasting, you work with Salesforce.
Your profile
You hold an academic degree or equivalent by experience.
You have several years of sales experience, ideally related to the construction industry and building materials. Experience in industries such as chemicals is relevant as well.
Your strength lies in new business development, you are a networker by heart.
You enjoy developing long-lasting relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
You thrive in a company driven by innovation, ambition and growth.
Dynamism, optimism, open communication, service-mindedness: these are features that you identify with.
You appreciate working in an autonomous way and are very flexible when it comes to visiting clients in your region.
You are fluent in Flemish and preferably have a fair level of French.
