Job description

Hartley People, working in partnership with their successful client, are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their company at an exciting growth phase.This position is a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, responsible for supporting the site’s manufacturing goals and strategic vision, specifically in the area of Electronic and Digital product manufacturing. The role involves working closely with Production, Product Development, Procurement, suppliers, and global functions to optimize manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting manufacturing support aligned with Quality Systems
  • Leading New Product Introductions for electronic products and ensuring cost-effective integration into manufacturing
  • 1st article testing and sample approval of electronic components
  • Root Cause Analysis of equipment, warranty analysis, and product functional testing
  • Managing firmware updates, product lifecycle updates, and technical queries with suppliers
  • Debugging electronic components, configuring equipment, and updating production test systems
  • Supporting procurement activities and resolving supplier issues
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and training staff

The PersonRequired Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years in a similar role preferred
  • Experience with test software (e.g., NI LabVIEW) and electronic/digital product production
  • Proficiency in PCB CAD software (e.g., Altium) and reading schematics
  • Strong knowledge of electronic testing procedures and equipment
  • Understanding of manufacturing standards (e.g., IPC, ISO, RoHS, REACH)
  • Root Cause Corrective Action tools and applications
  • Excellent work ethic with a focus on continuous improvement

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of electronic part lifecycle and SAP ERP system
  • Experience in New Product Introduction for electronic products
  • Familiarity with Draftsight/Solidworks/NX, EMC, and safety standards

Educational Background:

  • B.S. Degree in Electronic Engineering or a relevant discipline required.
