Job DescriptionAs a Sustainability Manager you will be responsible for initiating and leading key programs within WESCO’s sustainability program to advance corporate goals. You will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative sustainability principles and ideas. You will also be responsible for fostering partnerships to promote greenhouse gas emissions reductions, strategies to conserve resources, support regulatory reporting, and encourage social responsibility. Additionally, you will lead the implementation of sustainability practices and programs among the Operations, Sales and Category Management departments.Responsibilities:

  • Provides guidance as a subject matter expert for key sustainability programs involving multiple functions and program teams to drive favorable outcomes in alignment with organizational goals
  • Manages the collection of all data for organizational greenhouse gas inventory, ensuring that relevant and accurate data is continuously collected
  • Reports to rating/rankings and 3rd party reporting platforms in partnership with key internal functions
  • Participates in the development of annual sustainability reporting
  • Manages and provides quality control in the development of Data Management Plans for sustainability metrics related to sustainability performance and reporting
  • Leads the development of green and sustainable product catalog
  • Develops and implements sustainability training programs tailored to different audiences
  • Researches investment opportunities for climate, water, and biodiversity initiatives, providing recommendations to leadership
  • Leads the development and management of an organizational employee sustainability group
  • Collaborates on the creation, implementation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and scorecards to ensure communication of progress towards sustainability goals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred – Environmental Sustainability, Economics, or related field.
  • Licenses/Certificates/Designations – Certificate in GRI Sustainability Certification, ESG – Environmental, Social and Governance and/or CDP – Climate Change Survey
  • 4 years of corporate sustainability program related experience; can be a combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
  • 2+ years of SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board) and TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) reporting experience
  • 2+ years of Experience with Microsoft Forms, Power BI and Power Automate. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other basic Windows applications
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and be able to build strong relationships with internal and external teams to accomplish goals and objectives
  • Demonstrates leadership and influencing skills with a diverse groups of stakeholders
  • In depth knowledge in emissions data collection and data governance processes
  • Demonstrated experience organizing and coordinating projects and data analytics skills
  • Knowledge of the ISO-14001 Standard
  • Knowledge of the USGBC LEED certification process
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
