Manager, Finance (Remote)

I. JOB SUMMARY 

Emergent is looking to recruit a highly motivated Finance Manager to join our finance team on a fixed term contract (one year) for maternity leave cover. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues located in Ireland and in the U.S. and will have a broad range of responsibilities. Experience in preparation and review of items for month-end procedures is key and proficiency in the use of SAP is preferred. 

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Review account reconciliations
• Perform variance and performance analysis
• Validate pharmaceutical sales rebates and chargebacks
• Prepare U.S. pharmaceutical gross to net analysis
• Assist in monthly management accounts preparation
• Review submission of financial information to Emergent’ s Group Finance function
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) requirements
• Implement new financial processes and controls
• Prepare and review components of the statutory financial statements
• Manage the audit process
• Support the finance team as required to support the business
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business unit

III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

• Qualified accountant, 3-5 year PQE
• Proficient in using SAP
• Strong analytical and excellent numerical skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience in completing and reviewing month-end tasks
• Experience in the retail pharmaceutical industry an advantage
• Willing to work on a broad range of tasks from routine and administrative to complex
