Job Description:

Leads a team of communications specialists to produce authentic, inspired, relevant, and timely content to drive employee engagement, connect employee purpose with the company’s strategic objectives, and improve the employee experience. Manages quality control of all content, including copywriting, content design, photography, infographic development, and video production.

Develops team members and provides opportunities for professional development and career growth

Assists leadership with the development of employee communications strategic plan

Manages development and execution of targeted communications plans based on the overarching strategic plan.

Manages technical administration and oversight of employee communications platforms, potentially including intranet, employee app, email newsletters, employee meetings/town halls, digital signage, social and other channels

Builds relationships with leaders throughout the organization to source compelling employee stories that demonstrate the company purpose. Serves as a strategic advisor to effectively present ideas and facilitate discussion about communications plans

Understands all aspects of the employee journey and informs appropriate communications for each touchpoint, from brand-based recruiting and integration of acquisitions to brand advocacy.

Conducts research about industry trends and recommends innovative communications tools and approaches

Creates feedback loops and measurement tools. Monitors and reports defined weekly metrics and provides monthly reports to inform continual updates in plan execution

Assists in the planning and tracking of communications budget

Ensures that Terracon’s brand standards are followed in all communications materials.

Demonstrates higher level business acumen – knowledge of the company’s people, operations, finances, culture, competitive advantages, etc.

Develop understanding and be aware of project-related risk. Be familiar with what could go wrong on a project and how to protect the Company. Be familiar with company risk policies.

Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices. Promotes pre-task planning for all projects.

Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement. Monitor quality standards and practices.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, branding or related field and a minimum of ten years related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 12 years’ experience.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
