Our clients are facing increasing pressure from regulators to improve customer outcomes and reduce systemic risk; from shareholders to improve returns through improved efficiency and reduce cost; and from customers to deliver seamless, digital and customer-friendly services which match those they experience in other sectors and being offered by traditional and new, often fully digital, competitors.As a Manager in our team, you will focus on operationalisation of strategy, purpose and customer experience through transforming business architecture, informing the implementation of new technology and improving cost effectiveness and efficiency. Responsibilities include:Design and implement new or enhanced operating models within a specific function or enterprise wideIdentify and implement cost reduction opportunities across an entire organisation or within a specific functionContributing and/or leading on process re-engineering initiatives that result in real benefits to the client both financially and from a compliance point of viewWork with our clients who are in the process of merging or de-merging (including carve outs) to ensure their operation functions going forwardDraw on your knowledge and experience to create innovative solutions, adapting methods and practices to consistently drive high-quality outcomes for our clientsHelp manage our diverse teams to support their development, career aspirations and wellbeing as they share their career journeys with us at EYHelp develop our business by supporting sales activities and leveraging their own networks and contactWe are looking for candidates at Manager level. All the above responsibilities apply to all grades at different level of depth. Specific responsibilities for the Manager grade are:Work with Partners, Directors and Senior Managers across a range of disciplines to deliver on business transformation opportunities and identifying new opportunities to support our clients with their transformation agendasLead workstreams on client assignments either standalone or as part of a larger teamNetworking to develop long-term trusted relationshipsSupporting proposals and bid teamsLiaising with service line teams, functional specialists and area PartnersEnhance skills that will help develop EY’s businessPro-actively support the people agenda including counselling of junior colleagues, performance management and people managementTo qualify for the role, you must have some or all of the following:Extensive experience in managing a team, consulting, architecture or a comparable field, ideally 4+ years consulting experienceDeep Banking (Retail and / or Commercial) experience ideally with a focus on front to back digitisation of products including Lending, Cards & PaymentsExperience in business architecture, operating model design, process design and cost reductionExperience in technology enabled transformationExperience in managing senior stakeholders, both internally and externallyExperience in managing teams and managing complex project deliveryAbility to help structure and manage complex work streams and/or entire engagementsAbility to build effective, long-lasting relationships with clientsStrong affinity with core disciplines interfacing with Transformation including Agile and Design ThinkingExcellent communication and facilitation skills, with an ability to present robust, evidence-based solutions to clients succinctly and creativelyExcellent problem-solving and structured thinking skills, able to generate insight and committed to delivering high-quality solutionsPossess an analytical and logical mindset, with an aptitude for identifying and articulating the reasoning behind your recommendationsExperience in working collaboratively across teams and business functionsIdeally, you’ll also have:Experience from delivering successful transformation in retail and/or commercial banking, either enterprise wide or within a specific function or processExperience harnessing modern technologies such as scaled AI, GenAI or integration of digital assets creating new opportunities for revenue generation and operational efficiencyKnowledge or at least an awareness of the regulatory and geopolitical challenges that banks face and their impact on operationsExpertise in cultivating mid- to senior-level relationships with clients and the ability to interact with clients up to the C-suite levelSufficient technology and data experience to lead a blended team of technology and business consultantsAbility to work under limited supervision (‘self starter’) in unstructured environmentsAdvanced proficiency with PowerPoint and ExcelWhat we look forWe are looking for people passionate about accelerating their careers in Banking & Capital Markets and who want to help transform the financial services industry.
